THE CHILDREN OF CHERNOBYL

Foreign Centres for children in Holland, Germany, Hungary and Greece annually receive sick children from the Kiev region More go to France or Italy and/or Rotarians support Ukrainian facilities.

German Rotarians supplied in 1993 diagnostic and ultrasound equipment for the Kiev Polyclinic for children.

Kiev and Luov Rotarians supplied 18 tonnes of stretch chairs and equipment for sick children.

Medicines (18 tonnes ) obtained by local Kiev and Odessa Rotary clubs.

Medical equipment and 250 bottles of medicines arrive from French Rotarians 1995.

9 tonnes of Medical equipment arrive for those suffering from Pulmonary diseases with participation from the Kiev, Kharkov, Luov, and d'Oujgorod (Ukranian) Rotary Clubs.

1996 Childrens Hospital no 14 obtains new equipment of their needs financed by American Rotarians.

Ukrainian Rotarians combine with American Rotarians to provide 21 tonnes of medical equipment for the Ukrainian Institute of d'Oto Rhino Laryngology.

Kiev and other Ukrainian Rotary clubs organize the immunisation of 3 million Ukrainian children in the POLIO Plus campaign.
