The Attached pages attempt to give an overview of Rotary's growth in Central Europe since 1990, and where possible provide information of Rotary's participation with local clubs to help Rotary establish itself in the "New Rotary Countries".
The material does not claim to be representative. It is the best which we were able to piece together from a good number of sources.

Tens of thousands of voluntary hours have been dedicated to the spread of Rotary in the former Soviet block by many dedicated volunteers, often travelling enormous distances and coping with very different languages.
Said Queen Margareta of Denmark to PDG Carsten Leth upon him handing back his military commission:

This was Carstens sole reward for six years of dedicated service to the establishment of Rotary in Lithuania.
